Summary

Basement bathrooms often start as bare spaces in need of structure and style. For this project, the goal was to turn an unfinished area into a polished, usable full bath that complements the rest of the home.

The Work

Repaired drywall on both walls and ceiling to prep for bath installation
Removed existing drywall and installed Kerdi board around the tub for added moisture protection
Built a niche centered on the back wall of the tub for storage
Installed tile, then finished with grout and caulk at the corners for a clean look

The Outcome

The bathroom now has a durable, attractive tub surround and storage niche that make the space feel finished and comfortable. The finished walls and ceiling create a cohesive look that fits right in with the home. If you're considering a basement upgrade, this is a great way to add both function and value.
